     Our 26th District of Northeastern Kentucky PTA and Parent Teachers Students Associations (PTSA) includes Boyd, Carter, Elliott, Greenup,  Lawrence(KY) and Lewis Counties as well as Ashland, Fairview, Raceland-Worthington and Russell Independent schools. 

     Our district has offered workshops to parents and teachers on Kentucky Core Academic Standards, (KCAS) and what Parents Need to know about Testing in NeKy and the Tri-State.  We sponsor Showcases for Reflections Arts Programs where some of our students have participated or won at the national level!   We are represented at state and national conferences, provide information and offer support to our local units

Our district mission is to support the local PTA units and offer information and tools to help them to further succeed and grown by being a Voice, Resource and Advocate.  Our district goal is to increase parent involvement from elementary through high school.

  • Increasing our PTSA units ie, Raceland High School, RHS, Paul Blazer, East Carter Middle and Louisa.
  • Establish quarterly district meetings and networking
  • Provide 2013-14 NeKY Training and/or Town Hall on Education

PTA Purposes: Historical goals of PTA 

  • To promote the welfare of the children and youth in home, school, community, and place of worship.
  • To raise the standards of home life.
  • To secure adequate laws for the care and protection of children and youth.
  • To bring into closer relation the home and the school, that parents and teachers may cooperate intelligently in the education of children and youth.
  • To develop between educators and the general public such united efforts as will secure for all children and youth the highest advantages in physical, mental, social, and spiritual education.
